Avesta Language Avesta is speech of prophet Zoroaster (Zartosht) . Zartosht has lived in 628 – 551 B.C and was assassinated at 77 years old. Avsta containing speeches and poems and verses of Zoroaster , It is said that the old section of Avesta , Gasa belongs to Zoroaster and ancient period of old Persian . At first , Avesta was oral and quoted by priests for follower. There is no alphabet for writing till 2nd B.C, Belash one of the Ashkanian kings ordered to collected and invented a hand writing for it. Once again at sasanian dynasty at period of king Shapour Avesta recollected and it was written by new alphabet that was named Pahlavi (one of the middle Persian language) that was called apistak or apastak , The pronouncation of this language had familiar with ancient Indian language that was named Sanskrit . In this time Avesta had 21 large sections . It was being said Din Dabira but now there are only small parts of avesta for Zoroastrians worship . When Arabs invader attacks to Avesta alphabets is taken from Pahlavi,s book and Zabor books of prophet David and this handwriting is written from right to left and alphabets are separate from each other .
